If you need to be seen quickly for an urgent problem, please call 330-666-3400.
For everyone's convenience, patients are seen by appointment only. We generally plan to address one main problem at each office visit. If you have multiple problems to be addressed, please advise us of your need for extra time. If more than one person in your family needs to be seen, please let us know so we can schedule adequate time for them.
We are pleased to offer online appointments for NON-EMERGENT visits, such as follow-up appointments, complete physicals, bone density appointments, lab work, etc. Please request an appointment at least one week in advance so that the office has time to schedule the appointment and email you the appointment information. Please note that we try to save Saturday appointments for urgent problems that cannot wait until Monday.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance so someone else can use that time. Missed appointments may be billed the regular office visit fee.
If you need emergency medical attention when the office is closed, call our regular telephone number and our answering service will answer. After ascertaining the nature of your problem, the service will contact the physician on call. We can provide 24 hour coverage because our physicians rotate being "on-call" to take after-hour, emergency calls from patients. Non-emergency calls, including prescription refills, are handled during the day through our office. For after hours calls that require extended time or prescriptions called in, there will likely be a charge to you.
So that you receive the most efficient and cost effective care, we ask you to call us before going to an emergency room or urgent care center. In the event of a serious emergency, please go to Akron General Medical Center, Summa Hospital or Akron Children's Hospital, unless your insurance plan directs you otherwise. Patients with Summa insurance MUST go to Akron City Hospital, St. Thomas or Cuyahoga Falls General.
Co-payments are due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Co-payments that are not paid at the time of visit may be subject to a $5.00 service charge. When you come into our office for a physical or for a procedure (e.g. mole removal) and you have another illness/disease assessed and treated, some insurance companies cover only one charge. This could result in your being responsible for more than just your copay. Please remember to bring your insurance card with you to each visit.
If you are requesting an appointment because you will be traveling out of the country and want to know what immunizations you need, please schedule and office visit and bring your itinerary with you. Try to allow at least 2 months so you can receive the necessary immunizations.
