Welcome to our website! As family physicians, we provide primary medical care to individuals and all members of your family, with an emphasis on preventive medicine. This website will acquaint you with our office, procedures and policies.
You can perform many tasks utilizing our website such as requesting an appointment, referral, or prescription refill. We hope this convenience helps provide better care and service for our patients, both new and established, in a timely manner.
We are located in Bath, Ohio near I-77, close to the Ghent Road exit. Ghent Family Practice was established in 1987.
Our mission is to improve the health of patients, families and communities by serving their needs with professionalism and respect for the individual.
Family medicine provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, male and female, each organ system and every disease entity. Quality health care in family practice is the achievement of optimal physical and mental health through care that is responsive to the needs and preferences of the patient and respectful of patients' families, personal values and beliefs.
Family practice is a three-dimensional specialty, incorporating the dimensions of knowledge, skill, and process. While knowledge and skill may be shared with other specialties, the family practice process is unique. At the center of this process is the patient-physician relationship with the patient viewed in the context of the family. It is the extent to which this relationship is valued, developed, nurtured and maintained that distinguishes family practice from all other specialties.
